Brothers All,

December brings us many reasons to celebrate. Consider these two points as we approach Christmas.

• Our Worthy Grand Knight has outlined in his Communications and Volunteer Activities charitable opportunities. Consider being charitable to yourself by attending the Diocese Men’s retreat Saturday 12/8 with the theme “Defend us in Battle”. Show your support for Bishop Stika who will be celebrating mass at 9am followed by the retreat featuring Sr. Anna Marie as our guest speaker.
• When we think about gifts during this Christmas season, consider the poor widow’s contribution of two small coins. Let us detach ourselves from the material things and find value in gifts that we offer to God by loving our neighbor. In this Christmas season, “this kind of faith-filled generosity is necessary to be an effective witness that Christ is the ultimate meaning of our lives” (CCC 2544)
